These boxes are filled with luxe samples to full-sized beauty, skincare, and haircare products and are worth way more than the purchase price. The price you see is the ONLY price you pay because shipping is free. The 2015 Spring Beauty Box was only $5!!
Unlike most subscription boxes, Target Beauty boxes aren’t released monthly and are so wildly popular because the samples are such a good sizes and the boxes are so inexpensive that they usually sell out within a matter of a couple hours. My box arrived about 4 days after I ordered it!
Although I already knew what samples I was getting because it was listed on the website, it was nice that they sent an info card. The info card details what each product is and how to use them. I also received a coupon for $3 off any Beauty Department purchase of $15 or more at Target.
Maybelline Color Elixir by Color Sensational Lip Color ($6.99)- This is a nice rose color (Rose Redefined) which is what I gravitate towards: Roses, Nudes, and Mauves. As you can see, I’m not too adventurous with lip color, but this is really pretty and I think it’s a universal color that would look great on a variety of skin tones. Biggest perk is that it’s a full-sized product!
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set ($13.99)- This stuff is pretty good! I’ve been looking for an affordable option for a makeup setting spray, so I’m happy to have run into this. The only thing I’d change about this, is that I wish the product would “mist” out instead of “spray” because I feel like it’s a little drenching at first, but I’m aware that since this is a sample, it could possibly be a different nozzle on the sample sized bottle. I’m curious if the full-sized is different.
DOH! Okay, I just looked it up to see what the price of the full-sized is, and this IS the full-sized. So, I guess my final opinion is that I love the product, but wish it would spray on a little gentler… like a mist.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream ($2.65)- I haven’t used this moisturizer. It’s for extra-dry skin which isn’t my skin type, so I may pass it on to someone who could use it.
TREsemme Tres Two extra Hold Hairspray ($1.47)- This is something I’ll probably pass along to my mom who uses hairspray. I don’t use hairspray too often so a bottle tends to last me forever.
SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo ($1.88)- A SheaMoisture product came in the last Target Beauty Box, and it smelled soooo divine. This shampoo smells awesome, too, so it must be this brand’s ~thing~! This shampoo is definitely a moisturizing shampoo and it’s sulfate-free which is always good. It didn’t work into a lather like I like, but it made my hair smell and feel really soft even before applying conditioner.
I paid $5 with free shipping for the box and it ended up being worth $26.98 (these are by Target‘s prices. The companies websites have most of these listed a little more expensive). So, it’s safe to say I will DEFINITELY keep scooping up these boxes when I hear they’re available because they’re an outstanding deal!
