Men’s Target Father’s Day Box 2015

If you follow my Facebook page, you may have noticed that I blasted the word the other day that Target‘s Summer Beauty box AND a Father’s Day box was for sale!

First Look Inside

First Look Inside

I’ve never picked up a Men’s Target Box, but it’s a similar idea to the women’s beauty boxes. Women’s boxes are filled with luxe samples to full-sized beauty, skincare, and haircare products and are worth way more than the purchase price (you can read past reviews here). The price you see is the ONLY price you pay because shipping is free. The 2015 Men’s Father’s Day Box was only $5!!

The Information Card

The Information Card

Unlike most subscription boxes, Target Beauty boxes aren’t released monthly and are so wildly popular because the samples are such good sizes and the boxes are so inexpensive that they usually sell out within a matter of a couple hours. My box arrived about 4-5 days after I ordered it!

Gillette fusion ProGlide Razor

Gillette fusion ProGlide Razor

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor ($10.99)- A full-sized razor is the first thing on the list.

Axe Messy Look Matte Hold Gel

axe Styling Spiked up Extra Hold Gel

Axe Styling Spiked up Extra Hold Gel

Axe Messy Look Matte Hold Gel (.75) and Axe Styling Spiked up Extra Hold Gel (.68)- Both of these smell the same to me (and the smell is pretty good!)

dove Men Care Oxygen Charge Shampoo

Dove Men Care Oxygen Charge Shampoo

Dove Men Care Oxygen Charge Shampoo ($.43)- It’s hard for me to post about shampoos if I haven’t used them, but the card says it cleans deep and has a nice lather.

Orabrush Tongue Cleaner

Orabrush Tongue Cleaner

Orabrush Tongue Cleaner ($7)- These babies are such a good things to keep around!

Conclusion:
So, obviously this is a men’s box and I didn’t try out the products so I had very little to review about them, but I calculated the value of the items and it came to $19.85 which is definitely considerably MORE than the $5 shipped that I paid for the box!  My only complaint about this is that the box said, “Beauty Box” and if you truly were gifting it to a man in your life, they might not be too keen on receiving a box labeled like that. 😉

I actually did receive this box and I really don’t mind that it says “Beauty Box” on it. The razor is nice. I got a nice smooth shave out of it, so I think I will continue buying the replacement blades for it.

Axe products are really good. I generally use the Pomade, but I will give these a try.

I have not tried the shampoo, but I’m going to wager that like most shampoos will provide me with a nice lather.

The tongue cleaner is weird…it’s like licking one of those rubber finger things one would use to sort papers.

I hope lots of other men receive this Beauty Box! :)

  4. I think this is a great deal for $5. I have not looked into getting the Target beauty box and I really need to do that. I know the men in my life would love those products!
