Sunday Shorts: Excited Charley-Quinn, Flower Girls Request, Knife Fairy

SundayShorts New Years

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas! I know a certain 6-year old who did.  Charley-Quinn was so excited for Santa that she turned into a silly mess when I was trying to get her to fall asleep.  I decided to record the ordeal to show her future boyfriend 😉  Check out how excited she was:

Speaking of excitement, my last “Sunday Shorts” was all about my sister Monica’s engagement!

A couple updates:  Since that occurred, she shocked me by asking me to be her matron of honor. Also, she asked my daughters to both be flower girls in her wedding. I’m going to try to document as much as the wedding planning process as I can, so here’s footage of her asking my daughters to do the honor:

If you follow the Mommy Reality series that I co-host with Jen, from JENerally Informed, you might have noticed that in one of the most recent posts, I lamented about the sorry state of my kitchen cutlery.

Well, a couple weeks later, a box from Amazon showed up at my doorstep with this inside and NO mention of sender or a receipt with a price:

Kitchen CutleryI texted everybody I thought could’ve been the sender and posted a Thank You on Instagram. I still have no idea who this came from, and nobody has come forward so I’m assuming someone wishes to remain anonymous if I’m reading into this correctly, so I’ve halted my search for the sender. My little sister asked me if I was creeped out that I received knives anonymously.  She does have a point, but my answer to this was “no” considering the circumstances!  So, again, thank you Knife Fairy! <3

These were my Sunday Shorts for this week. Happy New Year! Anybody have fun plans for New Years Eve?

You anonymously received knives?? Ok it’s a little weird, but mostly totally awesome! I want those knives!

How fun a wedding to plan! I can’t wait to see the progress :)

Right? It could be perceived as weird! But since it was delivered through Amazon and not just randomly wrapped up and shipped, I feel a little better about it!

  2. Celeste your little Charlie-Quinn so reminds me of my youngest daughter Kelsey when she was that age… Now she’s almost 14 and I want my baby back after watching that video clip!

How exciting not only for you but your girls as well to be such big parts of your sister’s wedding. And bonus you get to help with all the planning! I had a blast planning my wedding back in April! Can’t wait to see all of the amazing details to come. Too bad we live so far away because I know where the best of everything wedding is here in the Phoenix area!

My first reaction to you receiving the knives wasn’t fear but jealousy because those are great knives. lol It only occurrwed to me that it was a little scary after you said something! Glad your Christmas need was granted! 😉

Wishing you a New Year filled with Joy, Peace, and Love!
    xx

Aww, I’m trying to enjoy every moment as I have it with them, but it’s going by so fast and I know sooner than I know it, she’ll be Kelsey’s age, Lysa.

Yah! So fun! And a tad overwhelming— but in a good way! I wonder if there’s such a thing as the co-wedding planner hiring a wedding planner b/c I could really use one, lol.

Thanks, Lysa! I hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas, too and a Happy New Year. Imma bout to pop over to your blog to check!

      • No matter how much we try to enjoy being in the moment with the kiddos and enjoying them while they are young it is inevitable that they grow-up WAY TO FAST! My only son will be 26 next month! EEK! So hard to believe!

I felt as if I needed 30 wedding planners to help me figure it all out but I somehow managed, with my OCD, to pull it off alone. I was amazed to be honest! If there is anything I can help with I’d be happy to. Whether it is simply a random email venting or bouncing ideas back and forth let me know, I’m here! 😉

We had a great Christmas and the New Year is off to an amazing start!

I think the fact that you got knives is not creepy at all. In fact, if the Mercedes Benz Fairy is listening…yeah, hit me up! LOL! Love your blog, way cool chica!
