Awhile back, someone asked me what my least favorite household chore was. I pondered the question a bit. Folding and putting away laundry is terrible, but eventually answered that, ultimately, meal planning and making out the grocery shopping list is the worst.
While I enjoy cooking hearty and flavorful dishes for my family, I really loathe going through the sales ads, finding the best deals, and figuring out which ingredients on sale will make what dishes. It’s pretty tedious and takes up quite a big chunk of my time.
When I was recently offered the opportunity to try out the Meals by the Week menu planning service, I was pretty excited. Help with my least favorite chore? Yes, please!
Here’s how Meals by the Week works:
Upon signing up, you select which grocery store you normally shop at (Kroger, Trader Joe’s, etc). Then every week, Meals by the Week creates a weekly meal menu for you based on the sales ads from the store you selected.
Meals by the Week also has an option to receive 400 calorie meals or vegetarian meals, as well.
Upon receiving your weekly menu, you can choose how many people you will be feeding and whether you’d like to select, double, or skip the individual meal selections.
After the meal selections for week are to your liking, you click “I like it” at the bottom of the screen and voilà! You’ll receive your very own customized printable grocery shopping list!
So, the best news is, Meals by the Week is offering one Leapfrog and Lipgloss reader a FREE 26 week subscription to their meal planning program… a $30 value! Just enter on the Rafflecopter below!
Entrants must be 18+ and reside in the US. Giveaway ends 5/15/14. Good luck!
