May marks my third month subscribing to Love with Food (read my other reviews here) and my box came the other day. We have finally eaten (almost) everything, so without further ado, here is my review!
–Oh! And stay tuned in, because at the bottom of this post I’ll tell you how to get your own free box!
In case you aren’t familiar, Love with Food is a monthly subscription box company that delivers organic, all-natural, hard-to-find gourmet snacks.
For every box sold, Love with Food donates a meal to several food banks to help combat childhood hunger, such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry.
Each month, Love with Food subscribers receive a box curated to a specific theme usually with 8 or more snacks. The May box theme this month was “Derby Days”. The information card explains that this month’s snacks are to help keep you going until you cross the finish line.
Love with Food has a reward point system. One way you can receive reward points is to review the snacks you received in your monthly box. You can redeem your points to purchase snacks in the Love with Food website shop. (I just redeemed some of mine last month as you can see in this post)
Honeybush Caramel, Southern Mint, and Tropical Green Teas by Revolution Tea– I’ve been passing all the teas from my boxes to my sister, but I’m tempted to keep these just because I love the packaging… so cute!
Terre Di Puglia Tarallino Snack with Extra Virgin Olive Oil– These, to me, tastes like the crunchy breadsticks you get in a package when you order a salad. There wasn’t a lot of *oomph* to them, but I think they’d be a great dipping cracker.
Flavrz Organic Tropical Peach Drink– This is a water enhancer that adds a southern peach flavoring. I tend to prefer water enhancers that are clear (which are HARD to find), but the coloring for this wasn’t very dark at all and it tasted great!
Sweet Potato Chips by One Potato Two Potato– I love potato chip alternatives . These are made with sweet potatoes and tasted awesome! This was a nice-sized snack bag, too! The whole family was able to dig in and sample these.
Sea Salt Caramels by Le Caramel– Box fave this month! I only had one and shared the other two with my girls, but the one that I had is making me consider redeeming my points for them!
Key Lime Cookies by J & M– These are really unusual and lovely! After I scarfed them all down (yes, I myself ate almost all of them), I considered that they’d probably be good with a cup of tea.
Giddy up and Go Granola– I divided this up between my girls for an after-school snack and they really enjoyed it.
Hickory Smoked Sea Salt and Italian Black Truffle Salt by The Spice Lab- I haven’t used these yet, but Love with Food just sent along a follow up email with some recipes for them, I believe, so I’ll have to check that out!
If you’re interested in a Love with Food subscription, you can click hereif you’d like. Subscriptions for the regular sized box are $10/month + $2 shipping. (They also have a deluxe-size box which has 16-20 items for $19.99/month).
Right now you can get a FREE Love with Food box if you click my little referral link. Just pay $2 for shipping. (I *believe* it also takes $10 off a deluxe-size box). If you choose not to keep your subscription at the end of the month, you’ll need to cancel, but you may find it beneficial to keep it!
Are you a Love with Food subscriber? What did you think? My favorites were the sweets: Caramels and Lime Cookies!
