May 2014 Bestowed Box

May 2014 Bestowed Box

I am unfortunately a tad bit behind on this review since it’s now June. Bestowed kindly sent me a May subscription box to review and it arrived when I was in Vegas!  Better late than never, though!

May bestowed 2014

The outside of the box

In case you aren’t familiar, Bestowed is a subscription box which focuses on nutritious and healthy snacks and lifestyle products.

May 2014 Bestowed Info card

May 2014 Bestowed Info booklet

Bestowed is curated by Heather Bauer who is a celebrity nutritionist and each month, like most subscription boxes, you receive an information sheet that lists the products. Bestowed‘s info card is actually more like a pamphlet that, additionally, offers tips about each product.

First impression of the box

Heather wrote in a note inside the pamphlet that the goal of May’s box was to help subscribers shake off the winter cobwebs and jolt right into a spring full of vibrant health.

479 Sea Salt Caramel

479 Sea Salt Caramel

479 Sea Salt Caramel Artisan Popcorn– I adore getting popcorn and chips in subscription boxes, so I was a fan even before munching on this. This was a generous sized snack, too. I was able to share with my two daughters.

Earnest Eats Granola Planks

Earnest Eats Granola Planks

Earnest Eats Granola Planks– Wheat free, and vegan. Another snack I shared with my girls.  The brochure gives a tip to crumble the bar over some Greek Yogurt. I don’t know why it never occurred to me to do that with granola bars, only with loose granola!

Eat Cleaner Wipes

Eat Cleaner Wipes

Eat Cleaner Fruit and Vegetable Wipe– I actually really like getting wipes like these that come in individual packaging because I can throw them in my purse for if we’re on-the-go and I can use it in public. The tip in the pamphlet says to keep a stash in the office.  And if I worked in an office outside the home, I’d totally do that.

Litehouse Instantly Fresh Basil

Litehouse Instantly Fresh Basil

Litehouse Instantly Fresh Basil– This rules– a full jar!  I’m so used to getting little seasoning packets that I was downright giddy when I saw this treat! Instantly Fresh Herbs are freeze dried immediately after harvest in order to retain their natural flavor and nutritional benefits. A jar is equal to three fresh bunches.  YUM.

Move Me Fit

Move Me Fit

Move me Fit– This is a coupon to give me free access to hundreds of premium workout videos from

Nature's Earthly Choice Farrotto with Zuccini and Peas

Nature’s Earthly Choice Farrotto with Zuccini and Peas

Nature’s Earthly Choice Farrotto with Zucchini and Peas– You just add water and olive oil to this (you can also add veggies and meat) and eat it. I will have to give it to hubby, though because I’m allergic to Zucchini :(

Rootology– Did you know Missouri is one of the WORST states for allergies? I don’t suffer from them as much as my husband, but I was glad to see these in the box. I wish I could’ve taken a couple with me to Vegas. My eyes and nose were stinging the entire time just from the constant smokey atmosphere.

Sneaks Organic Chocolate Milkshake

Sneaks Organic Chocolate Milkshake

Sneakz Organic Chocolate Milkshake– Sooo… I know this is supposed to be for kiddos, but I’ve had this before and totally loved it, so I yanked this one for myself, too. It’s chocolate milk that they sneak a full-serving of veggies into to disguise the flavor, thus the name: “Sneakz”.

Ziggy Marley's Coco-mon

Ziggy Marley’s Coco-mon

Ziggy Marley’s Coco-mon Coconut Oil– Love coconut oil! I can never get enough of it. I might use this to make this coconut sugar scrub I made awhile back (got the recipe from Pinterest) that works SUPER well for shaving your legs.

Ziggy Marley's Organic Hemp Rules

Ziggy Marley’s Organic Hemp Rules

Ziggy Marley’s Organic Hemp Rules– This is a crunchy spice mix that can be used as a snack or the tip in the brochure states you can use it as a base for homemade trail mix.  I haven’t sampled this, yet… I wonder if it’d be good on plain popcorn?

So what do you think of the box?  Are you a Bestowed Subscriber?  If you’re interested in checking it out, you can click here if you’d like.  Subscriptions are $19 a month, and for a limited time (6/15/14), you can use the coupon code HELLOYUM34 to get your first box for $10!

  1. Did you win any money while you were in Vegas Celeste?

I love trying organic healthy foods. Lately I have been attending health food expos and I really enjoy trying out all the delicious foods. I’m glad there are healthy food subscription boxes now. #ProductReviewParty
