Oh my gosh… so exciting! I almost always receive food related Influenster projects, so when I got the word that I was accepted into the Yves Saint Laurent Vox Box campaign, I was thrilled!
If you aren’t familiar with Influenster, it’s a free-to-join community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences. After signing up, you can pick short activities to do based upon your interests, and when Influenster feels you’re a good match for a campaign, they’ll email you a survey to fill out, just to see if you qualify. If you do, they’ll send out “Vox Boxes” with products, coupons, or singular products to test based on your interests in exchange for honest reviews.
Having a blog isn’t mandatory with signing up for Influenster, but they appreciate users sharing about their products through the various social media platforms that they do use. The more you share about your products, the more likely the chances of getting selected for future VoxBoxes!
If you’d like an invite to Influenster, feel free to contact me: leapfrogandlipgloss [at] Gmail.com or leave your email address in the comments.

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) is a a high end beauty brand and I had NO idea I’d ever receive anything like this in a VoxBox, so I feel really fortunate!
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer ($52)- This is a primer that you smooth on your face before applying foundation. It reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines and is supposed to give the effect of “blur” to make you look younger. I appreciate this primer for improving the longevity of my foundation. In the middle of the day, sometimes I feel my foundation is melting off my face. This helped it hold up a bit longer. I felt the primer did a good job, but for the price point, I thought my face would be look a tad smoother (for instance, the fine lines be filled a bit better). Overall, it worked, though and I will definitely enjoy using this bottle until it’s empty. I want to mention there there are a few sparkles in the primer, but I didn’t really notice them on my face and especially after I applied my foundation.
Touche Éclat Blur Perfector ($55)-
From the first glance, I thought this was blush inside a nice compact, but it’s actually a balm that turns into a powder after you apply.
It can be used 3 different ways:
- Alone as an all-over complexion perfector
- To set makeup
- As a mattifying touch up during the day to sweep away any shininess and imperfections.
I decided to use it to set my makeup. I usually use a loose powder and spray to do this, and felt that the Touche Éclat Blur Perfector kind of was a heavy application and rubbed some of it away. It did mattify my face and helped conceal my pores even more, though and gave my face a healthy glow, which I appreciate so I could see myself using this as a touch-up throughout the day when I’m not wearing much makeup. I LOVE the luxurious compact and the velvet storage pouch.
My favorite out of the two was the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer. I love how silky it made my face feel and the fact that it made my makeup last a long time. I’m really grateful I got the opportunity to review these!
Have you tried any YSL products? Do you participate in Influenster? Again, if you’d like an invite, email me or leave your email address in the comments!
