Hormel Extended Family Blogger Program July 2015

Oh, hello July!  It’s almost over, actually, so I need to get a move-on with showcasing what we received in our July Hormel box this month!

Hormel July 2015

Hormel July 2015

First of all, I wanted to mention that I feel really grateful to have been part of the Hormel Extended Family Blogger Program for a full year now!

As a Hormel blogging ambassador, I receive Hormel products every month to cook with, eat, share, and write about. It’s always fun to see what surprises are in the cooler every month and to dream up ways to be creative with what’s inside.  (To read my past recipes and unboxings, you can go here)

Here’s the run-down of all the recipes I’ve cooked so far since I’ve been a blogging ambassador with Hormel:

July Cooler Contents:

Chi-Chi's Flour Tortillas

Chi-Chi’s Flour Tortillas

Chi-Chi’s Flour Tortillas– I realized that I ALWAYS start my Hormel posts with peanut butter, so I thought I’d get a little CrAzY and shake things up this month!  Flour Tortillas! These are always something we can use because they’re so versatile– whether we’re doing Mexican or having wraps.

Hormel Hot Chili

Hormel Hot Chili

Hormel Hot Chili– I’m thinking these would be good in a cheesy dip.  My mind keeps heading to “snack-land” lately with these recipes, but maybe because I’ve been attending a few baseball games this summer and eating lots of nachos.

Hormel Pepperoni

Hormel Pepperoni

Hormel Pepperoni– Hormel Pepperoni has become one of my favorite snacks. It’s something you can easily reach for that’s filling and low carb and tastes great. I usually try to plan recipes for it but end up snacking it right out of the bag!

Hormel Snackers: Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Hormel Snackers: Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Hormel Snackers: Spinach and Artichoke Dip– I think these snackers would be nice to pack in a lunch or a snack compartment if you’re working a long day at an office.  They don’t need to be refrigerated initially, so they can just “keep” inside a drawer.

Extra Crunchy Skippy Peanut Butter

Extra Crunchy Skippy Peanut Butter

Extra Crunchy Skippy Peanut Butter– Here’s the peanut butter!  But it’s crunchy peanut butter this time! I never buy crunchy peanut butter.  Like ever.  So, I am curious what my kids will think of it.  They notice if *anything* is different food-wise.  Nothing much gets past them!

So this was July’s box!  I know it’s late in the month to be posting and now my family will FINALLY be glad I’m letting them dig into everything!

As always, recipe ideas and suggestions for Hormel ingredients (including any not pictured) are welcome!

I have partnered with Hormel Foods as part of their Extended Family Blogger Program. While Hormel Foods provides me with material and necessary resources to complete various activities, all statements and sentiments and opinions at Leapfrogandlipgloss.com are my own.

Wow, that’s quite the spread there. Lots of treasure in this month’s Hormel Box! Spinach artichoke dip in my office drawer? The thought boggles my mind. Who doesn’t love peanut butter whether it is crunchy or creamy. I am crunchy in a creamy sort of way i suppose. In any case, good spread!

  2. Katy says:

We make chili wraps sometimes (the kids don’t really like chili, though). Scoop heated Hormel chili into a tortilla, top with cheese, lettuce and sour cream, then roll into a burrito and enjoy!

  3. Julie S says:

Ooh what a cool program to be getting a box of goodies like this to create meals. You can definitely make for a Mexican flavor night with those.

  4. Louida says:

I see you got another jar of peanut butter! I can never be without peanut butter, I’ll go nuts, LOL!

I would love to try that dip, I love spinach and artichoke! You got another great box from Hormel! #ProductReviewParty
