Okay, so I know it’s a little silly to celebrate just a 1-month anniversary of writing a blog (and I promise I won’t celebrate EVERY month), but I put a lot of time and planning into it before I even launched it, so I figured… why not celebrate this little milestone?
The conversations that have transpired, thus far, due to content I’ve written in here have been great! So, if you’ve been one to comment in here, on Facebook, or elsewhere, thank you very much!
I’ve also enjoyed the new connections I’ve made thus far due to blogging: new readers, other bloggers, and people who have helped me start this blogging journey
I’m having some problems when it comes to sharing my posts on Facebook. Facebook usually doesn’t select the blog photo I want to use as the little snapshot photo. I’ve Googled this problem a LOT, have a little plugin that’s supposed to help me, run the Facebook debugger tool, but it comes up with some jargon I don’t understand. I won’t go into all the technical details, but it’s really frustrating me. I wish there was a resource out there that could explain this to me like I’m 5-years-old, like Reddit’s, “Explain Like I’m Five”
I’ve been receiving a lot of feedback and questions on the header art of my daughters and me. It was done by the lovely artist: Joana Miranda. Visit her website and blog here: http://atalentfordesign.com/. She does beautiful work!
And the “Post Award” Goes To…
I was looking through the (few) posts I’ve written so far and thought it’d be fun to see how they measure up to each other statistically So without further ado…
The winner of the most views goes to…
The winner of the most blog comments AND most Facebook comments goes to…
And last, but not least, the winner of the most embarrassing post for me to write (it had a VERY flattering pic of me from jr. high) goes to…
5 goals for the next month:
- To maintain my posting frequency of 2-3 times per week
- To post a bit more on the topic of “beauty”
- To reach a specific number of “followers” on my blog’s Facebook Page and Twitter (Am I weird that I think saying the goal-number aloud will jinx me?)
- To tweet more
- To find more blogs to read and network more with other bloggers.
- To tweak (or try to figure out HOW to tweak) a few technical and visual aspects on my website that have been bothering me.
So thank you for reading! If you haven’t already, please follow me at these various places:
