There were several different themes for me to choose from including boxes with socks, scarves, and cooking materials, but the box I selected to review was “Homefront” because it contained items that I don’t have and wouldn’t think to buy for myself!
Bespoke Post Homefront Contents:
Bear and Son Cutlery Trapper knife- I haven’t owned a pocketknife up until this point, and I suppose there is a good reason for that. When I opened the knife to take this photo, I, of course, immediately cut myself. (Wow, I’m so awesome!).
The manual that came with the box gives a beautiful description of the device’s craftsmanship. My summarization of the knife is that it’s sturdy and made of walnut and 440 stainless steal.
Zippo Classic Lighter- It’s been awhile since I’ve owned a Zippo! The booklet says this design (with the iconic flip top and special construction that shields the flame from the wind) has been going strong for 80 years now. American GIs in WWII swore by them.
The design I received has a slightly weathered chrome finish.
P-38 Can Opener- Initially, I was the least enthused about this item out of everything in the box. Although this was listed in the description before I selected the box, I didn’t know if I would have a use for it. But upon reading the included booklet, it explained that thisfunctions in so many more ways than a can opener– hundreds, in fact! You can slip it on your keychain, you can use it to remove splinters, strip wires, cut fishing line, tighten screws and more!

I know I kept this box for myself, but I could definitely see myself looking into this service as a gift. Would this make a good gift for someone you know?
