Luxury Barber Box is a monthly grooming subscription box for men. Each box contains 10 or more samples or luxe-sized samples from a wide spectrum of grooming categories, plus at least 1 full-sized product which is that month’s featured “Product of the Month”.
One thing I was really impressed by was how nicely packaged the box was. With most subscription boxes, the shipping label is smacked right on the box and it opens to reveal the products. With Luxury Barber, it’s packaged up inside of the shipping packaging to reveal a really nice, sturdy, gift-giving quality box as shown below:
The box is a nice quality and shuts with a magnetized closure.
Nearly everything inside the box was individually wrapped, so it was really fun unpacking everything!
Like most subscription boxes, Luxury Barber contains an information card detailing the grooming products inside the box as well as what they’re used for. I was really happy to see listed how much the full-sized products weighed along with the price! That saved me a lot of work because I usually have to research that.
You can order all these products on the Luxury Barber website.
Billy Jealousy Salad Days Exfoliating Body Scrub ($4.50)- I lifted the lid to take a whiff and it smells really good! The mix of sage, citrus, mint and patchouli gives it a “Woodsy” type of vibe.
Billy Jealousy Whipped Cream ($7.32)- This is a shaving lather that is made with licorice root, lavender oil and wheat germ extract. I haven’t used it, but it’s supposed to give a really good lather and protect from razor burn, bumps and ingrown hairs.
Suavecito Original Pomade ($9.99)- This was the product of the month for April, so it’s full-sized. The card says you can reactivate your hairstyle throughout the middle of the day by just combing a bit of water through it if need be and that if you want to wash it completely out, just using water will do the trick.
Fresh Richie Men’s Wipes ($1.98)- These are cleansing wipes that can be used anywhere on the body to neutralize odor.
Muhle Organic Body Lotion (.50)- This is a sample of body lotion with soya oil and shea butter that’s suitable for all skin types. It also contains rosemary extract and vitamin E which helps retain moisture for long results.
Astra DE Blades ($2.25)- These are razor blades that make a great addition to any double edge safety razor, the info card says. It says they give a really high quality, irritation-free shave.
Montez Renault No. 05 Shaving Cream ($5.88)- This is a shave cream that sounds like it gives a really smooth and silky shave because it’s made with coconut oils and jojoba oil. I might try this one out myself!
Luxury Barber Comb ($9.99)- Wow! A $10 comb! I am just sitting here with my mouth like :-O because I just can’t believe it! I use a comb with the girl’s hair in some areas, so I’m really curious to try this!
Fine Fresh Vetiver Aftershave ($2.25)- This aftershave smells really smooth and sexy as I thought it would when I saw it was called “Fresh Vetiver”. Again, this is aftershave, but I really do feel that every guy should have in their possession a fragrance or cologne with vetiver in it. The initial impression is usually grassy and pretty masculine, then it dries down to a lingering sultry and desirable smoky smell. I have a perfume for myself with vetiver in it (it’s a bit sweeter-smelling than a man’s fragrance, although still sultry). The brand is discontinued, so I don’t use it very often!
Totally went on a tangent about vetiver. Bottom line is obviously this is my favorite product in this box
Evolution Man Wash and Buff ($1.70)- This is a face wash that’s supposed to heal irritation and restore skin cells. It says it also prevents ingrown hairs when used often.
Muhle Organic Shampoo ($.50)- This shampoo has argon oil and vitamin E and it says it’s vegan and organic. It says it helps with hair’s color and elasticity.
I’ve reviewed men’s shaving boxes before, but this is the first time I’ve gotten one that covered such an array of grooming products. I feel like this would be a nice treat to gift a boss or a relative, spouse or dad.
Totally up the value of the box, it comes to $46.86 which is more than the $29.99/month cost!
