April 2015 Love with Food

April 2015 Love with Food

It’s been a few months since I’ve reviewed Love with Food, so I was excited once again to dive in and do this thing! As always, I shared the snacks with my girls, so they are my review companions :).

**Stay tuned because at the bottom, I will tell you how to get May’s box for free without a coupon code!**

Love with Food First Look April 2015

First look inside!

For every box sold, Love with Food donates a meal to several food banks to help combat childhood hunger, such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry.

Love with Food "Starry Nights"

Love with Food “Starry Nights”

Each month, Love with Food subscribers receive a box curated to a specific theme usually with 8 or more snacks.  The April box theme this month was “Starry Nights”.  The information pamphlet says the theme’s purpose is so we’ll take a snack out to the porch and enjoy the quiet night.

The Goodies:

Shortbread by Walkers

Shortbread by Walkers

Shortbread by Walkers– Ah!  This is my first repeat! I don’t think this is supposed to happen, but I received this exact product last year in a Love with Food box. The girls liked it. I’m not too big on shortbread, but this has never happened before, so I’m not going to raise a stink about it.

Garlic Olive Oil Pasta Chips

Vintage Italian Garlic Olive Oil Pasta Chips

Vintage Italian Garlic Olive Oil Pasta Chips– I’ve had these Pasta Chips in a different flavor and really enjoyed them.  This is a nice-sized bag and these were very garlic-y and good!

Mighty Leap Tea Green Tea Tropical

Mighty Leap Tea Green Tea Tropical

Mighty Leaf Tea Green Tea Tropical– I’m not a tea drinker, so will put it in the stash for my tea-drinking sister.

YumEarth Sour Beans

YumEarth Sour Beans

YumEarth Sour Beans– The girls and I didn’t find these very sour and were a little disappointed! They tasted okay if you’re craving sweets, but we thought there’d be a *POW* of flavor.

Luna Lemon Zest Mini

Luna Lemon Zest Mini

Luna Lemon Zest Mini– Box fave!  This was really good!  Not too sweet and rich/not too sour! I was thinking about redeeming some of my Love with Food points for it on the site, but I noticed it’s not listed for sale on there. I’m going to have to scout this out at the store for sure.

Back to Nature Graham Sticks

Back to Nature Graham Sticks– The girls enjoyed these and there were a lot that came in this bag to share!

Wild Garden Hummus Snack Pack Ziyad

Wild Garden Hummus Snack Pack Ziyad

Wild Garden Hummus Snack Pack Ziyad– This was what I was most excited about. I love chips and spread and I love hummus! I found this hummus to be okay, but the consistency was a little so-so for me and the flavor wasn’t as good as I had hoped.  I feel really picky for saying so, though because I was really excited over seeing this in the box the most!

One more thing I got?

Love with Food Magnet

A nifty Love with Food Magnet!  To which I promptly added to the collection on my fridge:

Magnets

Conclusion (Free Box Offer)!

This probably wasn’t my favorite Love with Food box due to several reasons listed above, but the fact that it’s a variety of items (not heavy on seasonings or baked goods, etc) leaves me content with it. The fact that it’s a surprise every month prepares me for the fact that I’m not always going to love EVERYTHING!  And that’s okay.

If you’re interested in a Love with Food subscription, you can click here to get your first box free! (just pay $2 shipping).

At the end of the month subscription, if you wish to cancel, you will need to go on the site to do so, but you may find it beneficial to keep it! Subscriptions for the tasting sized box are only $10/month + $2 shipping which is really, in my opinion, a great price point for treating yourself and/or your family.

    I can’t say that I’m a fan of Walkers…

Not a fan of Walkers, CORAL!!!

  2. April says:

You get all the best blogger opps! I’ve never heard of this, but the food looks awesome. Now, let’s talk about the magical uniform poop magnet…*smh* 😉

  3. I’ve tried their box before and reviewed it and really did like it. But yeah – without having any influence over what they put in the box you are bound to not like something but variety is the spice of life right? Nice review.

    • Celeste says:

That’s true! And many times I’ll receive an item that I didn’t think I’d like, but I end up enjoying it, so I’m glad ultimately that I don’t have any influence!

  4. Stacie says:

Looks like love with food has done it again! I think I’d like to try those pasta chips.

  5. Louida says:

Wow a repeat? Now that is the first! I’m a tea drinker so I would love to try the tea. #ProductReviewParty

  6. Not a bad box, a bit pricey, but I may think about it after a few more weeks with Graze.com #productreviewparty

    • Celeste says:

I still have been wanting to sign up with Graze, too. If you try this one out, you just have to pay the $2 shipping for the first month!
